Welcome to Parks Angling

Priory and Shoebury Park Lakes are the heart of the Parks Angling Club, offering a rich history and a vibrant community for anglers of all levels. Established to promote recreational coarse fishing, our lakes are renowned for their well managed environments and great fish populations. As a club, we are dedicated to managing fantastic fisheries for now and the future, with heavy investment where possible to continue to push our lakes forward.

All anglers are welcome to our lakes. We look forward to welcoming new members and day-ticket anglers to discover what Parks Angling Club has to offer.

Our Lakes

Priory Lake

Priory Park Lake is a well-established coarse and carp fishing water situated within the 45-acre grounds of Priory Park in Southend-on-Sea. This 1.5-acre lake is known for its accessibility and a healthy stock of Common and Mirror carp, with specimens frequently reaching the 30lb range.
Fishing is conducted on a membership or day-ticket basis—available bankside from roaming bailiffs—with prices ranging from £5.00 to £10.00 for up two rods.

Shoebury Park Lake

Located in Shoeburyness, a 1.5-acre water. Often considered a slightly quieter alternative to Priory Park, this lake is a favourite for local carp anglers and families alike, offering a relaxed environment.
The lake is well-stocked with carp, with specimens reaching  19lb. It also contains tench, roach, rudd & pike, making it an excellent spot for waggler or feeder fishing. Ensuring consistent action for most skill levels.

Fishing is only allowed in designated areas, and anglers must respect the natural environment by not leaving any litter behind.
